How to Eat to Lose Weight and Stay Healthy

Breakfast – The most important meal of the day. It jump starts your metabolism.

5 smaller meals – Take snacks to munch on throughout the day to keep your energy up and curb cravings for junk food.

Easy snacks:

  • Cheese sticks
  • Cut-up veggies (prepare several days worth at a time)
  • Raw nuts or home-made trail mix
  • Protein bars

Increase water – Hunger pangs can indicate a need for water. Have a glass of water before you give in to snacking. Many times this can be just what your body needs.

Allow cheat times – Letting yourself cheat one day a week for less than one hour can help keep you from going on a binge and can keep you from quitting your program.
